Headshot Session Details

  • Our private studio is perfectly positioned in a quiet rural town just 40 minutes from Hartford CT and 35 minutes from Springfield MA.

    Directions

  • Please arrive for your session “ready to shoot.” This means you will be responsible for any hair, makeup, or wardrobe considerations.

    It’s not uncommon to bring a friend or a stylist with you to your session if you feel more comfortable with an extra set of eyes keeping everything perfect.

  • When you reserve your headshot session, you get a full hour of one-on-one time with our photographer, either in our studio or at your location (see remote pricing).

    We never charge extra for wardrobe or style changes, and we don't limit backdrop or lighting changes - though we do ask you to make an initial selection so we can be set up when you arrive. The idea here is that you have reserved an hour; how you choose to spend it is up to you.

    Within 1-2 business days of your session, we will email you a contact sheet of all the images created so that you can select your favorite (or favorites) for us to airbrush, light-balance, crop, and provide back to you in ultra-high resolution.

  • Reservation fee:
    $65
    This fee holds your place on our calendar and will be applied to your session total.

    Hourly Session Fee:
    $165 in studio
    $250 regional remote

    This is your headshot session. Total of hours minus your reservation fee will be due at the end of your shoot (minimum 1 hour)

    Final Digital Images
    $50 each
    This covers retouching, color balancing, and other light edits. Your final image will be provided to you in a variety of resolutions and croppings to easily upload into social profiles, resumes, or websites.

    If you have a specific resolution or size or file format need, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to provide that to you at no charge.

    Printed Images
    We do not print in house but we have a short list of trusted venders we are happy to facilitate uploads to if you should need a physical copy of your final shot.

Group Rates or Remote Locations

Nothing showcases a team better than consistent matching headshots. We have competitive group rates available for both in-studio or on location sessions with 5 or more people. Please call for details and options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
A headshot should be a clean and polished version of your day to day self so we recommend that you dress as you would for an important meeting. The idea here is to not create an alternate or catfish persona. If you’ve never worn a suit to work in your life - dont go buy one for your headshot.

All that said - Its a good idea to select clothes that are not distracting, or that will create vertical lines leading the viewer away from your eyes in the finished photo. That means stripes, busy patterns, loud colors, are best avoided. For women - select a top that has shoulders (no straps) and a clean simple neckline.

How many outfits can I bring?
As many as you like, there are no rules on how many times you change wardrobe, just be aware of the clock as each session is an hour long and its probably best not to spend the whole time in the changing room.

Do you have a stylist in studio?
We do not have a staff stylist in house, but we do work with several talented professionals in the local region and would be happy to facilitate introductions in order to have someone come in for your session. We do not add fees or mark up rates for stylists or outside help; all stylist charges will be exclusively between you and the professional of your choice.

If you are comfortable without a stylist, but would like a helping hand, you are welcome to bring a friend along to the shoot who knows your look and personality.

Will you come to me?
Yes, absolutely - we’re happy to bring the studio on the road, but please note that remote sessions can not be booked in the calendar on this page. If you’d like a remote session at your location please call the studio and speak with someone here to schedule your shoot.

I really want to do this, but am not comfortable in front of a camera.
This is way more common than you think. Go back to the samples page, find your favorite shot of the person with superhero level confidence, and rest assured that that image was not the first in their session.

We’re all about helping you feel at ease and have some fun - this is why all sessions are an hour long and private. None of your peers are here, and there is no rush. Its our job to meet you where you are, and help guide you to the winning shot.
